A promotional event took place on April, 4th in the office of St. Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA) within the project "Joining Creativity". The managers of the project informed guests of all the events held throughout the year and achievements and effects of the project. Ksenia Chumak, a coordinator of the project, emphasized the importance of further cooperation on the support of creative industries in the North-West of Russia. Dmitry Nikolaev, the head of TV channel "Nika+" news department, shared his impressions of the project and told about the significance of information support of international and regional events. Guests were shown a movie-presentation providing the basic information about the key events, topics, participants, and partners of the project. A representative of the project partner, County Administrative Board of Västerbotten, Susanna Lantz told about creative and cultural industries of her region and programs of providing support to such initiatives that are developed for every region in Sweden. Creative entrepreneurs from St. Petersburg shared their experience in the implementation of creative projects and business ideas: Elena Bizina, the Director of the Center of International Cooperation "Inter Aspect", covered the major events organized in the city by the organization - Festival of Choral Arts and Children and Youth Choral World Championship; Ali Mamedov and Yana Zyablina - the representatives of "PapaMarketing" company, shared their experience in the organization of mass events and search for sponsors and provided the example of Open Plein-Air "I draw St. Petersburg". Irina Kizilova, the Deputy Director at the Institute for Cultural Programs, provided information on various creative projects held in the city, for instance, "DeLaRuk". After the event participants visited an art-residence "Pushkinskaya, 10" and got to know what support is provided for artists in different regions and countries. Such creative spaces are becoming increasingly popular at the moment: there is an art-residency in Karelia as well. It was founded in the spring in 2014 and is involved in numerous exchange programs for professional artists, supervisors, critics, and researchers working in the north of Norway and North-West of Russia.
The promotional meeting in St. Petersburg became an event of supreme importance for the final stage of the project: a new space became a platform for distributing information about the achievements and results of the project and learning about creative industries of St. Petersburg in practice.
Before the event, on April, 3d, the project partners held the last meeting of a coordinating group, discussed the preparation of reports, and, most importantly, outlined the opportunities of further cooperation on the support and development of creative industries.
