One of the main objectives of the project “Joining creativity” is the establishment of contacts among representatives of creative industries in Northwest Russia and the Nordic countries. On the 16-21 of October a study trip to Finland and Sweden for representatives of the creative industries was organized.
On 6th of Jule, 2016 in North (Arctic) federal university named after M. Lomonosov (NAFU) a round table was conducted. Representatives of Arkhangelsk, Republic of Karelia, Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Denmark, Sweden and Finland took part in the event.
On the 19th of April in Helsinki the first big meeting of partners was held during which representatives of partner-organizations discussed in details the main questions concerning the project implementation. Among the participants of the meeting were representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Saint-Petersburg International Business Association, Institute for Cultural Programs in Saint-Petersburg, Norwegian-Russian chamber of commerce, County Administrative Board of Västerbotten, Sweeden, organization of Innovation center in Iceland, University of Aalto, Finland.
On the 26th of February the first meeting of the Karelian partners was conducted. The main targets of the meeting were to present the project, to discuss timetable of the main events and main work direction. The representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, The Institute of Economics of the Karelian Research Centre of RAS, The State Committee of the Republic of Karelia for Interaction with Local Self-Government Bodies, local mass-media, the head of the Swedish-Karelian Business and Information Centre and business ombudsman of the Republic of Karelia were at the meeting.
